I used regular hair glue the last time I sealed. Glam rock may i ask why formaldehyde free?.. PSoSexxi wrote: Glam rock may i ask why formaldehyde free?.. Take it back to the store. I was the same way cuz I never heard of this before I started readin about it heere. It helps keep the hair in the weft.

I want to Sallys and got some black fingernail polish for under a buck and viola!!! I lay the weft out and brush it on the sides of the wefting and on top and it was dry super quick. I read where wefts turn white after washing but that hasn't happened with the black polish at all!!

Formaldehyde is a carcinogen cancer causing agent. I make sure my nailpolish does not have it or toulene. HairGirl wrote: Is it me Lay the wefts on a covered flat surface. Apply the sealant directly to the weft and allow the sealant to dry.

Wait for 10 — 15 min to allow drying time or blow-dry for a quicker result. After the hair has dried, flip hair over and repeat on the other side. Continue doing this with all other bundles. Begin to install the hair while remembering to go around the weft instead of through it. You can either install hair with the flip over method or you can cut the wefts if you decide to cut the wefts go back with the sealant and apply where you cut the weft and let it dry completely then install. Co-washing means to wash and rinse your hair with a high quality conditioner only.

This process cleans your hair and conditions it without damaging the hair. Co-washing is a quick and simple solution that will not keep your hair healthy fro root to end. Co-washing helps to retain the moisture in your hair eliminate dullness.

You will want to seal only clean and healthy hair that is not brittle or dry at the weft. Wait for the hair to dry prior to sealing the wefts. If you plan to color or dye your hair, you will want to dye your hair prior to sealing and after co-washing but before sealing. Extensions are more likely to shed when they are brittle, think of it as your natural hair, breakage occurs when hair is not maintained.

After Co-washing and drying your hair,it is time to seal the wefts. Choose a weft sealant that bonds quickly,is flexible and does not leave any clumpy residue. Make sure to apply the sealant to both sides of the weft. This guarantees a tightly sealed weft that will minimize shedding dramatically.

Sealing wefts enable hair to last longer and provide the wearer with a more satisfactory install requiring less maintenance. Hair can be double-wefted or single wefted. Whether your hair is single weft or double weft, may not make a major difference when it comes to shedding. Double-weft hair means that two tracks of hair sewn together. The double-wefting process reduces shedding because it is thicker and sewn more securely.
